* "The rock" is actually swing dancing, cf. French "le rock."

** This translated literally to "the dance of the brick," which may be some sort of dance like the twist or swing, but I am not familiar with it. It sounds so much more musical in Italian, so I left it that way. Presumably, it is a slow dance.
