Tuesday, November 11, 2008 @ 4:48 pm No school today. It bugs me because instead of a long weekend, we get a regular weekend, one day of school, and then a day off. Then it's back to school again. I guess it would screw up the balance between Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday classes if we did observe the holiday on Monday, but it still bothers me. I spent the entire day today working. And I don't mean, "trying to work and getting nothing done," I mean, like, ACTUALLY accomplishing something. I feel so productive, but still very dissatisfied. Not unsatisfied, though. And by that I mean, I'm happy I got so much done, but I'm sad that it seemed like a perfectly good waste of a day off when I could have been doing something fun. Or resting. Oh, well. If I can get a head start on studying for my last major exam before the Thanksgiving holiday, I suppose I can consider that a victory! Happy Armistice/Veterans/Remembrance Day! 6 Comments. Yeah, I'd prefer if we just didn't get a day off. This day off is screwing with my internal clock... » randomjunk on 2008-11-11 08:43:05 i prefer to maximise my day by doing something productive and then rest all i want after accomplishing something as a reward. » renaye on 2008-11-11 09:30:32 Wow, you got today off? I guess my draft-dodging-spitting-at-veterans-and-outlawing-ROTC school they didn't feel like remembering vetrans was a good use of a day » Zanzibar on 2008-11-11 09:36:18 oh man! i hate that! i hate havin to go to sch one day n the next day's an off day. id rather have a full packed day for say 3 days in a row n the rest its a free period to do anythin u'd want. at least you got somethin done despite its an off day from sch. » AlexisNg on 2008-11-11 09:48:04 I feel pretty off about the holiday thing too, it totally feels like a Saturday. re: I can totally get where you're coming from about the Berkley thing. There are some pretty extreme people there, to say the least. It's a nice place to visit, I just don't think it's for me. » zachstabbedme on 2008-11-12 12:07:42 I'm getting used to having Mondays and Wednesdays off. I hope I can get some kind of rearrangement to my schedule again next semester or I'm going to be making myself all stressed up. Re: I am spoilt! Then again, I credit my small social circle and the fact that I rather stay at home most of the time to be why I get to sleep so much. I think how one is brought up does influence their comfort zones too.. » Nuttz on 2008-11-12 12:23:29
