I am NOT having children, part 2.
Thursday, May 1, 2008 @ 8:29 am
Today I had an appointment set up for my two cats at the low cost spay/neuter/vaccination clinic to get some essential vaccines and to get them fixed. I took them there and Bickle--the poor cat--shat in the carrier because he is not used to that at all.

Despite his accident, Bickle passed his pre-op checkup, so I have to pick him up this evening. Snugglebum, however, did not pass his checkup. The vet tech who brought him back out said that he had some unusual lung noises and that I had to take him to the vet to try to get that sorted out.

So I called the vet a few minutes ago and set up an appointment for tomorrow for Snugglebum. $54, that will cost me. But I want these cats healthy so I guess I'll have to pay for it. And when Snugglebum is all better, I have to repeat this whole lengthy process all over again.

I wonder if he'll willingly go into the carrier ever again...

I always find cats poop in transit boxes. It's really weird. The one cat in transit that didn't poop was the one that wasn't in a box. He just spent the time sitting on the driver's shoulder and in the back window, and crawling about looking at things.

Poor Snugglebum. :(

Well it's cheaper to bring kids to the doctor if you have health insurance. Vets are expensive. :/

If my cats were children, I think I might get in trouble for swearing at them/almost kicking one yesterday. He was trying to escape and he ALWAYS escapes. I was holding a lot of groceries so this time when he tried to escape I caught him with my foot and then he tried to leap over it so I lifted up my foot so that he was dangling from it and then he fell off and jumped on the window sill, then I tried to lift him off in my arms but he wriggled out and tried to run around me. I reached out with my foot again to stop him but just barely touched him and he went leaping down the stairs. So I locked him out and found him later crying outside the apartment on the second floor and scratching their door to be let in. I swore at him and he finally came back in the house, and then I told him that he was very bad and that I didn't love him any longer and I wasn't going to pay attention to him anymore and that he was a disgrace to his family name.

Hopefully I'll be a better parent than that. ;)

Thank you for your recommendation! I'm sorry there's not much to recommend.

I really love the names you give your cats. :)
ESPECIALLY Snugglebum. I hope he gets well soon.

That is a REALLY creepy dream you had. Obviously some voodoo doctors about, or whatever the Filipino equivalent would be.

yeah, I prefer the American waltz, I have no opinion on the cha-cha, and the international rumba is WAAAAAY better.
