Oh, on the side, I have a question... if you want to take classes at a state university, but you don't want to actually get a degree from there, when and how do you apply? How far in advance of the class? And do you have to worry about the class becoming full of matriculating students and then you're just sol? This is a question from my roommate thalweg.
